TKEZ architecture & design designed and built this private residence in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic. The design was developed in dependence on the life and feel of a balinese house.
TKEZ custom designed the room height lift-slide window units. The tempered glass units can be replaced by mosquito screens, so the villa works without the use of air conditioning systems in the months form November untim march when the air is dry and the temperature decreases at nighttime. During the heat months, air conditioning is provided in the bedrooms.
The architectural studio developed a special air conditioning system where the cooled air is distributed via invisible ducts above the rattan ceilings. The cooled air diffuses very gently over the large ceiling surface through the fine gaps of the rattan wieving.
TKEZ also custom designed the furniture for the villa such as the custom made curtain beds in all bedrooms, daybeds and pool lounges, desks, the minimalistic sinks in the bathrooms.
CariBali features a open living and dining space, 4 bedrooms, budoir, TV and games room, office space, gym and yoga space, sauna, massage room, vine cellar, staff and kitchen area, 2 swimming pools, inside and outside bathrooms with hot tubs and exterior massage areas in private pocket gardens.
